An important part of planning the first smart city is the six town planning schemes Dholera is divided into.
Dholera SIR TP scheme has been very carefully planned paving way for land allocation to each of the various economic sectors that the region has plans to develop within itself. TP scheme 1 is specifically meant for residential housing while the rest of schemes are meant for development of varied sectors.
Dholera SIR is being developed as India's first smart city. A city that shall cover 22 villages in Gujarat and span an area of 920 square kilometers. 22.5 square kilometers has been sanctioned by the state government for construction of trunk infrastructure project. Rs. 2,784 crores has been kept aside by the central government for this purpose. Balance funding shall be met through PPP model and foreign investments.
Five early bird projects have been shortlisted and put on fast track to enable faster development of DSIR and provide complete infrastructure support to the growing economic activities in the region. Dholera SIR TP Schemes have been kept in view while finalizing the site and road map for such infrastructure developments. These projects are Dholera Airport, Six Lane Expressway, Metro Rail Project, Mega Industrial Park and Rail Based Multi Modal Freight Logistics Park.
Dholera SIR TP Scheme has been planned carefully post due consideration to each aspect of development in the region and shall be important for its economic success.
